Granite | Natural Stone
Its suitability for usage anywhere & everywhere makes this a widely used and popular stone.
Kitchen + Granite = Perfection
Granite needs to be protected. This means the application of a sealer is needed to prevent staining and for maintaining the granites appearance. Although granite is a tough stone it’s still recommend that, if used as kitchen bench tops, a chopping board be used (not that cutting on granite will damage it, but it will blunt your knives) also hot cooking implements should not be placed directly from stove or oven onto bench tops as this may cause thermal shock and crack the stone.

Origin of Granite
Granite is literally as old as the earth. It is formed from liquid magma, the molten rock still found at the core of the planet, cooled slowly to form a substance approaching the hardness and durability of diamond. Granite is an igneous rock, the name reflecting its fiery beginnings.
Granites are formed from a collection of crystals which are molded together without any interspace between them or which enclose one another. The magnificent crystallinity of granite is a striking characteristic. Don’t forget Granite is a natural stone; no two pieces have the exact same characteristics.
